2007 Call for Entries

IITAP, the Innovative Use of Instructional Technology Awards Program, has extended the entry deadline to Monday, January 29. All University of Texas at Austin faculty are invited to enter instructional technologies that have been developed specifically for UT Austin courses.

The two judged award categories are Teaching With Technology and Resource Development. The 2007 Awards Program and Showcase are scheduled for April 24.

Teaching with Technology

The Teaching with Technology category recognizes practices, processes, implementations, and successes in teaching through the innovative integration of digital technologies (hardware/software) with sound pedagogical strategies, in class or as an extension of class instruction.

Entries in the Teaching with Technology category should articulate and demonstrate how teaching with technology practices promotes students’ knowledge and skills and makes teaching and learning more effective, relevant, and efficient. Teaching with Technology entries are well-integrated into the course experience and are representative of an individual instructor’s perspective, structure, and teaching style.

Teaching with Technology entries can include, among others, interactive animation, games, simulations, and micro-worlds which ideally create engaging learning experiences.
